The Boston Bruins announced today that Anders Bjork had undergone successful shoulder surgery and would miss 5-6 months.

This may sound familiar. That’s because around this same time last year, Bjork was injured. It’s not confirmed what caused this injury but Bjork took a nasty hit down in Providence in late December.

The 22 year old forward had been down in Providence since November. It’s understandable why he’d need that extra development. Coming off of an injury like that would cause any young player some set back.

Nothing is promised to these guys once they make it pro but you really do hate to see this… Such a young and promising player having yet another season derailed from injury.
