Tuukka Take Tuesday: Oh How The Tables Have Turned

Tuukka Rask is back whether you like it or not. It took a little bit of time, but he’s back. He’s so back that anti-Tuukka fans are actually jumping on the Tuukka Train. I think you all know who I’m talking about. Tuuka is killing all of your narratives one game at a time. Today, let’s talk Montreal.

The rivalry between the two teams hasn’t been what it once was. The Habs fell off while the Bruins were becoming a powerhouse. The Habs just couldn’t compete where they didn’t compare. The playing field is a bit more level now.  The rivalry was reignited Saturday night. Tuukka Rask was in net with an injury plagued team around him.

Tuukka had 31 saves and allowed two goals. That’s already an improvement from his game against Detroit ( 27 SA, 24 SV, .889% ). I do believe he should’ve been in net against Toronto but Cassidy made the opposite call. It’d be fair for Rask to get the start at home against the Islanders on Thursday.

Bruins fans want to win, but they want to see Tuukka lose. What kind of logic is that? Keep crying about how Rask can’t win in Montreal when he’s done exactly that… the last SIX times. Get used to seeing Tuukka in net. He’s back.
