Welcome to the first installment of a new series. If you haven’t guessed, this blog is going to be about none other than Tuukka Rask. These are supposed to be fun. These might be opinion based one week and a stat breakdown the next. The fate of that is in Tuukka’s hands. 

Another day, another Tuukka take! The Bruins aren’t even ten games into the season and they’re calling for Rask’s job. The slow start shouldn’t come to a surprise. Last October he started six games and had a record of 1-3 with two overtime losses. Does anyone else remember those god-awful phone calls into sports radio?

Rask is in goal tonight against the Ottowa Senators. The Senators are nothing without Erik Karlsson but we aren’t here to talk about that. Losing tonight would simply be embarrassing. Rask was last in net on October 17 against the Calgary Flames. It’d be ridiculous to say that tonight is do or die for Tuukka. We don’t need to fly off the handles because a formerly elite goalie isn’t off to a great start. There are plenty of games ahead of us. Take a deep breath, relax!

The Bruins haven’t won a game on this Canadian road trip. Two overtime losses get us points but they should be winning.  It’s still early but the division race is tighter this year. Hell, the Habs have a better record than Boston. Doesn’t that concern anyone?
