Boston Red Sox pitcher, Joe Kelly and his wife Ashley have teamed up to raise money for an amazing cause. The pair have started the #JK56COMEONchallenge for the nonprofit organization, Mission 108.
Joe Kelly stole the hearts of most Red Sox fans when he revived the Sox/Yankees rivalry. He’s taking something ( more than a suspension ) away from that. He’s using his “Come on!” challenge to raise money for a very important cause. The couple is raising money to end modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a major problem in across the globe. You can read up on it on the mission 108 website.
The rules are as followed:
Step 1: Check out Mission 108’s website, learn about human trafficking in your state, and donate to Mission 108. ANY amount is amazing and goes towards eradicating modern day slavery! Just click DONATE and do your thing!
Step 2: Post your best Joe Kelly “Come On” impression video/photo on any form of social media with the hashtag #JK56COMEONchallenge Dont forget to put WHY you are posting: to FIGHT human trafficking and also #mission108
Step 3: Sit back, watch the videos & photos come in and the donations grow.
Top donors and funniest/best videos & photos will win a prize (to be announced shortly)! Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 15 before the Red Sox’s game at 7:10pm!
This is such an amazing idea and a beautiful thing to raise awareness to! Here is a direct link to the donation page! Best of luck to those who enter!
