There’s No Time For Imploding

The Bruins have proved themselves this season. It’s fun watching this team. There’s no storm cloud hanging over when you turn on NESN. This team is electric. I refuse to take away their success and only focus on their negative. There’s only a month or so left of the regular season. I didn’t expect them to stay on fire this long. I thought things would’ve gone awry a long time ago. Injuries have hit the team and it’s hit them hard. There’s no room for goalie controversy. However, if you need something to talk about, you can discuss the people playing in front of the net.

Patrice Bergeron is out with a fractured right foot. He was seen with a walking boot last weekend. It was said that he could be back in about two weeks time. This time off could be good for him. A well rested Bergy for the rest of the season? I will certainly take that! Tuukka Rask was a late scratch on Saturday. It was reported that he had a minor injury. There wasn’t much released about the injury. However, he was to on the ice when the Bruins won. This one was a tough pill to swallow. Charlie McAvoy went down with a lower body injury on Saturday night. At this time, there’s no update on how serious it is. There is no crystal ball I can look into and see when these guys will be returning. Anyone knows that each case is different. Don’t let them back on the ice until they’re at 150%.

I know people love pointing the finger at Rask when we lose. It’s very easy to blame a man who is supposed to protect the net. However, the B’s do have a defense that doesn’t always show up to play. Sometimes it looks like they’re half asleep out on the ice. Chara is old. He’s playing with kids who are half his age. The game is being played faster than ever. You need to look alive out there. This doesn’t all fall on Chara. He played a 3 minutes and 3 second shift before fighting a guy. He’s still got it.

There’s no room for the Bruins to implode. The deadline additions could be crucial to this team. They’ve played strong the past few games. However, I would prefer if they didn’t wait until the third period to tie it… Especially against a subpar team. There’s no way to predict the future. I’m certainly. not educated enough to tell you what could happen next. They’ve got to play strong and play like they want it.
